Builder of unfinished West Michigan home accused of felony fraud

When you pay a contractor, you expect them to use a portion of their money for the job. Instead, Todd Charles Allen of Allen Home Builders had other plans. A West Michigan contractor, he’s in trouble after he withdrew over $100,000 from a home construction home.

One sign of a bad contractor is if they end up using your money to fund another project, which is what Allen may have done. It didn’t help that he disabled his website and wasn’t returning calls.
